Privacy Policy

Effective June 25, 2026

Saturday Survivor is a college football conference survivor pool app built for friends to compete against each other across the CFB season. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it. We try to keep it short and honest. If anything here is unclear, email support@saturdaysurvivor.com.

What we collect

  • Account info — your email address (for sign-in), a display name you choose, and an optional short bio / favorite team / avatar color you can set in Settings.
  • Pool activity — the leagues you create or join, the picks you make each week, the games you watch through the app, and the results that follow.
  • Notifications opt-in — if you allow push notifications, your device token so we can send you a deadline reminder, a results recap, or a "your pick won/lost" alert.
  • Crash + performance diagnostics — anonymous technical data about app errors (which screen crashed, on what iOS version) so we can fix bugs. We do not collect data that identifies you personally for this purpose.
  • Optional product analytics — counts of major actions (you signed up, you joined a league, you submitted a pick) so we know which parts of the app actually get used. This is aggregated and not used to track individuals.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect your location. We do not collect your contacts. We do not collect your photo library beyond an avatar you explicitly upload. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Why we collect it

  • Account info lets you sign in and lets your league-mates see who they're playing against.
  • Pool activity is the whole point — picks have to be stored to be graded, and leaderboards have to be stored to be shown.
  • Notifications let us tell you a kickoff is coming up so you don't miss a pick deadline.
  • Diagnostics let us notice and fix bugs before they reach more users.

Who we share it with

We rely on a small number of well-known infrastructure providers to run the app. They process your data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments:

  • Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your email, account info, leagues, picks, and chat messages live there.
  • Vercel — hosts the web companion and the API that powers the iOS app.
  • Apple Push Notification Service — delivers our push notifications to your device when you've opted in.
  • Sentry — collects anonymized crash and performance reports when something breaks in the app.
  • CollegeFootballData.com — provides the schedules and game results we use to grade picks. We only send queries (no user data).

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any party outside the providers above. We will share data only if legally required by court order.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and pool history for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, the deletion happens immediately. Your sign-in (email, password and any login provider), your name, photo, bio, favorite team, push tokens, notifications, alert settings, chat messages and support requests are all deleted straight away.

Your picks, results and eliminations are kept as part of league history and shown as “Deleted user.” They are no longer linked to you or to any way of contacting you. We keep them because other members' standings, elimination counts and rankings are calculated from everyone's picks together — deleting yours mid-season would silently change other people's results, and we won't rewrite someone else's season. Crash diagnostics are retained for 90 days.

Your rights

  • See your data. Email support@saturdaysurvivor.com with the subject "Export my data" and we'll send you everything we have on file within 30 days.
  • Delete your account. In the iPhone app, open the Settings tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap “Delete account.” On the web, go to your Profile page and scroll to “Delete Account.” Both ask you to type DELETE to confirm, then delete your account immediately and sign you out — see “How long we keep it” above for exactly what is deleted and what stays as league history. If you run a league with other members, the longest-standing member becomes commissioner; a league where you are the only member is closed. You can also email us at the address above and we'll do it for you.
  • Turn off push. iOS Settings → Saturday Survivor → Notifications. We respect the system toggle.

Children

Saturday Survivor is intended for users 13 and older, in line with Apple's App Store rules. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has registered, email support@saturdaysurvivor.com and we will delete the account.

Free pool, no gambling

Saturday Survivor is a free pool. There are no entry fees, no payouts, and no cash prizes anywhere in the app. The "survivor" label refers to the gameplay mechanic, not anything legal or financial.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material here, we'll update the effective date at the top and notify you in-app the next time you open it. Older versions will be available on request.
